Today, Yesterday, the Past and the Future

The title may say a lot. Many people would fit in their whole life story in these confines. As for me, I talk short term. The story is ongoing! The last month has been, as always is and always will be, a circus of random jumping, skipping from one pillar to another, from one post to the other. In of matter of three weeks, I have been living it up in crowded and exuberant London, royal Edinburgh, and the wee green city Glasgow. A good lucky shot at a job opportunity has seen me changing my job from an Inventory Auditor to a Visa Submissions Officer and Operations trainee! Fortunate as it was, I am back to Glasgow. Having got the chance to live in London for a few weeks, I wouldn't advise anyone to go there unless he/she has a job which pays truck loads of dough! All said and done, it was an experience in itself. Everyone going about their day with the look of absolute professionalism, not even a hint of flinching to say a courteous hi or hello, no way! I did realize this though, on...

Don't lose your identity

Before I lose link to my blog, as I invariably do, I thought it best to get a few words in before I get busy again! The update is that I am back to the old Scottish town after what I might call a hectic India visit. It was really nice to meet friends and family and soak in a bit of the home weather after a span of more than an year. It was also nice to get to talk all the people I did, taking valuable advise from them about my career and future. Getting back to Glasgow with a fresh perspective on things, a new thought process and a motivated mindset, the last thing I wanted was to get sick. As all things, one never realizes the value of the body until something goes wrong with it! I was proud and boasted that I didn't get even a cold for more than two and a half years before I got sick this time around. Anyway, I am recovering now, and shouldn't be long before I am fit and fighting again. What I meant to talk about was the fact that we as Indians pride ourselves on being able t...

Revisiting the blog-o-sphere

Its been a while since I logged on and updated my blog, you may say that for a while I almost forgot that I had one. Anyway, here I am, fit and well since my last post nearly half an year ago! What sparked me to put up an update today was a letter from Google which I received yesterday, BY POST. The weirdness of the fact that Google actually sends mails by post was somehow inconceivable to me! They are apparently offering me Rs.2500 worth of free advertising to make my blog more of a happening place in terms of number of viewers! As always, I have my reasons for not blogging as much as I should. Main reasons are my two recent purchases. A sudden attraction of technology made me go in for the iPod Touch 3G 32GB late last year and more recently an Android HTC Sense Hero. I attribute these devices to the gradual demise of my blog. So is the comfort of these devices that my overall usage of my laptop has gone down! Rolling out of bed in the morning, just press a wee key on the Touch, get m...

Super Update

Hey guys! Its been ages since I wrote anything. I blame it on my lethargy, lack of motivation and frankly the non-existence of any time to do so! So here goes: 1. I am a Masters in International Management and Entrepreneurship graduate with Merit!!! Got my result a few weeks ago and was over the moon (which apparently has water on it)! See photo, how neatly ruined my desktop was! 2. I have finally decided to stay on here in UK for about half an year at-least to see if I can get a job or something like that, so applying for the visa in a couple of days. 3. I have been working my ass off, reason why I couldn't blog enough. Earning the dough can be quite a satisfying experience! 4. I finally managed to get out of Glasgow in September, went with the mates to Manchester, Blackpool and Newcastle by car on a much awaited road trip. High point: driving on UK highways, shot the Vauxhall Astra 1.6 to 123miles/hr, super! 5. Glasgow gets colder and colder (0 deg. as I type), nothing new though...
